Mobile Blackjack Rules

Mobile Blackjack rules are the same whether you’re playing on the Spin Casino mobile or desktop platforms. Your aim is to win by getting a hand of 21 or as close as possible, without going higher. At the same time, you must beat the dealer’s hand.

Face cards count as 10, and number cards are worth their stated value. Depending what works best for the rest of the hand, Aces count as 11 or 1.

To start off, everyone places their bet and is dealt 2 cards. The dealer also gets 2 cards, with 1 of them facing up so that players can see it. Using only your own insight and the knowledge of what the dealer’s card is and what your cards are, you need to decide what to do next.

Mobile Blackjack Hands

Your options are usually to Hit, Split, Double Down and Stand. Other moves are possible in different Blackjack variations, but these are the most common. You’ll see them in every variation of the game that is available at our mobile casino. To Hit means to simply be dealt another card, while to Double Down means getting another card and doubling your stake at the same time.

You can only Split if you’re holding a Pair of same-value cards. Here, you divide your hand into 2 new hands of 1 card each, and get another card dealt to both of them. When you are satisfied with your hand, you Stand. Once everyone is Standing, all cards are revealed and payouts are made.

Mobile Blackjack Payouts

As we mentioned, the ultimate goal of these casino games is to get a total of 21 exactly. A hand of 21 is known as Blackjack, and if you get it with an Ace and a Face card, it’s called a Natural Blackjack. You win immediately with these hands and get the game’s maximum payout of 3:2. If you’re not holding Blackjack your hand is compared to the dealer’s.

If your card total is over 21 it’s known as Busting and you lose automatically. If you have a hand of less than 21 but the dealer Busts, you win a 1:1 return. Even money is also paid out if both your hand and the dealer’s are under 21, but your total is higher.

Blackjack Mobile Versions

All mobile Blackjack variations can be divided into 2 main categories; American and European games. European Blackjack is older, and was modified to create the American version when settlers arrived in North America.

American games usually use 6 to 8 decks of cards while their European counterparts use 2. This makes a difference to how you calculate your odds and play your hand, but there is another more important difference here. In American versions the dealer gets both their cards at the same time that you do.

If their face-up card is an Ace, Face or 10, they can “Peek for Blackjack” and check if their hand is a Natural Blackjack. If this is the case, the round ends without you losing any more money. With European games, the dealer’s facedown card is only given later.
